Why is Breathwork so beneficial for the personal growth of those who wish to change?
Many people have recently embarked on the Spiritual journey of change and personal development. The young wisdom of these people can feel the benefits of more positive thinking and gaining a better knowledge of the metaphysical principles of life.
Social media is bombarded nowadays with positive sayings and ‘good life’ stories that can inspire and help reset the thought patterns toward gaining a new direction.
Books about a new way of thinking and living are on the shelves of bookstores and online book buying of this genre is a huge business. The growth industry in books, that help people motivate themselves, advise and inspire them to a greater, more sucessful life, is enormous.
When a person on this path has read the books and watched the online videos on their chosen topics, they have bought all the necessary amulets, crystals and inspiration cards there comes a time when they realise that they need the help of a ‘healer’. This is when things can get a little tricky.!
Choosing someone to support a person to continue the journey on the Spiritual path is very important. The initial connection with a person to support ongoing growth can make or break the journey. They can inspire or invalidate by over-riding the self confidence of the client to know what to do next.
I recently attended an event where many people were selling their ways of using their modalities to help people become more aware. I was really surprised by the amount of “doing it to them” styles of practitioners. I won’t name them, because I think that you know what I mean!
I guess that over the years, I have come to realise that practitioners know very little about the inner wisdom of others souls. Going to practitioners who tell people about their shortcomings and what it is that they need to learn and do, denies the client the opportunity to avail themselves of their own inner wisdom.
We all have it, the inner wisdom that we are born with, is usually denied, invalidated and put down as we grow up in this left brain, logical world.
This is where Breathwork comes to the fore. By using the breathing technique that is taught to us by our Breathwork practitioner, most people are able to re-access their own realisations and inner wisdom. Breathwork is deletive, it helps us to let go of anything that is untrue, like self-criticism and invalidation and refills the person’s heart with self- trust and the confidence that we had when we were born. Breathe and let go of the idea of ‘not knowing’ enough about you to heal yourself, and re-instate the knowledge that you have, and have always had.
Give it a chance. Breathwork helps you to help yourself.! That’s empowerment.!

Living in Fear is Not Safe

Whenever I hear my old way of thinking bounced back at me from another, I get to see at what my life used to be and how it caused me to suffer.

So recently when in a conversation someone said to me that their motto in life was to “Suspect everyone and trust nobody, ” I felt my body reel into a split second of flashback. That was me many years ago! […]

Am I too sensitive? – Simply Breathing

Am I too sensitive? This is the question that is often posed to me by my clients – Simply Breathing

At the times when we feel like we are experiencing hurt or sadness, and people around us don’t seem to understand the depth of our feelings, we can begin to question our own responses. Am I too sensitive? Am I over –reacting? Should I just  “suck it up” and get on with it?

So what is “too sensitive?”

Depression, sadness and unhappiness

Depression, sadness and unhappiness are usually a sign that your relationships are not working!

I know that this sounds like an obvious statement, however I see many wonderful people living a life of unhappiness because, although they love their partners, they are making themselves miserable just by living with them day by day. […]

Change…… The Incredible Gift – Simply Breathing

So why is it so hard to do? We may want to change your job, our career, our relationship, our place of living. When we decide that we want to create a change, we often play mental gymnastics with our selves – Simply Breathing
The madness that goes with this process can be debilitating and mind-bending.

There are a few reasons why we do this circular thinking, before we take a leap of “planned faith” and make the first steps to change. First of all, it is perfectly “normal’ behavior to think with rationality, about any changes that we are wanting to make in our lives. Those who leap from one condition to another without thinking about the consequences of their decisions can find themselves in hot water over and over again. It’s a wonderful way to create drama.
